I have been wanting to start a blog, but wasn't sure about what... A friend of mine has been blogging about her sewing projects, so I thought "what a grand idea!" and stole it from her! :)
First, a little bit about me: I am a 29-year-old full-time student, as of a couple months ago, i have been married for 3 years to my best friend, we don't have any children and want to keep it that way (our friends have enough kids for everyone!), and we have 2 evil kitties that keep us entertained. My husband is a huge gamer and i play a little as well, WoW (World of Warcraft) mostly, when i do play.
I have been sewing since high school, ie. about 15 years. Not very much, though. I recently, in the last year, have been at it pretty regularly. I have made 2 quilts, and one quilt topper that just needs to be finished (the topper is the most time-consuming!), and am working on some pincushions from a cute little pattern i found.
I have made bags, aprons, shirts, skirts, book covers, pin cushions, and many other things over the years, and i must say, practice doesn't make perfect, but it sure helps! :D
I love sewing, but even more, i love fabric! I love the different textures, the way it lays, the way it smells, i love everything about it! I have quite a stash, but i know it's nothing compared to most quilters! I will post pictures of projects and things as they are completed and post some pictures of already-completed projects as well.
